You mean in our blessed U S of A?!
It does seem that, for every American, there are two assholes, no?

To be truthful I'm not sure where I was going with it. So, I thought I'd just throw it out there. But you are right there! It does seem that way.

I think my initial reason for the thought was when I read somewhere that a defendant wouldn't be taking the stand. Instead her/his slimey lawyer and a few witnesses would be speaking to their behalf instead.

Oh yeah, lets let every coached witness memorize all their little patsy lines instead of hearing it from the mouth of the accused because that's a more credible way to prove innocence. ?

Sometimes to in a sort-of related subject that sometimes there are the powerful voices of the few drowning out the many. Such as , how about when a drug company belts out about how wonderful their product will be to your well being. Even tho they are required to list all the many times terrible side effects they still sell millions and millions.
Well, I guess it's ok to take those little pills to take care of the blues or sleep soundly because sudden death is only a "possible" side effect. But I suppose I digress. Maybe not, I'll bet they have a whole corral of greedy lawyers with really big mouths to speak for them.
